Your Woodworking Solutions

I embarked on designing and creating bespoke furniture after a long-life passion for woodworking to transform raw materials into meaningful, functional art. It is serving as a therapeutic escape that blends creativity with technical skills. My passion frequently evolves from simple projects into a dedicated craft with joy in mastering joinery, understanding grain patterns, and achieving a perfect finish to create lasting pieces of furniture.

My background is in Organic Chemistry, which I studied at Loughborough and Sheffield Universities - an education that focused on natural product-based drug design using cutting-edge technologies. After a career in the pharmaceutical industry, I retrained at Rycotewood Furniture School and at Sylva Foundation Wood School. I now work from my workshop at the Sylva Wood Centre, just outside Oxford.
